Like we discussed in a previous post, today 29th February 2016, 58 European automotive journalists chose the Car of the Year 2016.
And the winner is: Opel/Vauxhall Astra (309 points). The Opel brand name is awarded a Car of the Year prize for the fifth time since 1964 (2012 - Opel Ampera/Chevrolet Volt; 2009 - Opel/Vauxhall Insignia; 1987 - Opel Omega; 1985 - Opel Kadett).
With only 15 points less than the Astra we find the Volvo XC90. Here is the full top 7:
