Audi RS3 Details

Audi is preparing to launch a performance-focused version of the A3 sedan called RS3, and a new report coming out of Australia gives us a better idea of what to expect from the upcoming pocket rocket.
An Audi executive confirmed the next RS3 will essentially be a toned-down version of the A3 clubsport quattro concept that was presented earlier this week at the annual Wörthersee tuning show. The production-bound RS3 will share its 2.5-liter TFSI five-cylinder engine with the clubsport concept but its output will be lowered to approximately 400 horsepower.
Power will be sent to all four wheels via Audi's quattro all-wheel drive system and a seven-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox controlled by shift paddles mounted behind the steering wheel.
Look for official details about Audi's next RS3 to emerge in the coming months. Sources close to the automaker indicate the car could debut in production form at next October's Paris Motor Show and go on sale across Europe shortly after.
